Susie Szakats

Susie’s PhD research aims to identify and characterise the expression of novel microRNAs during male and female mouse brain development. 

This project makes use of section in situ hybridisation, qPCR and small RNA-sequencing technologies.  

Susie graduated with a BBioMedSci(Hons) degree in Reproduction, Development and Genetics in 2016, and she was awarded a University of Otago Doctoral Scholarship in 2017.
